Hello friends. The older I get, the more research I find myself
doing, and the more I am inspired to take care of myself. Growing up, I never
paid attention to what I put into my body, nor did I pay attention to what
ingredients were in food, medicine, hair care, facial care and more. Here we
are, 30 years later and I care A LOT. ?
These days, I am not a fan of medicine, and you will find me researching and googling natural remedies for EVERYTHING. I also try to eat more whole, natural food, as often as I can. Now, I am not saying there are never times I do not take medicine, have a cheat meal, or times where what I use is completely natural. I am a work in progress. However, I wanted to share a few items in my wellness box, that have and continue to work for me.
Organic Beer Root Powder
So my Husband got me on this kick. He is really big into working out, and so am I. We are constantly pushing ourselves, and sometimes your muscles get quite sore and you start to run low on energy. That is, if you are not fueling your body with the right nutrients. This powder is full of Vitamins—Vitamin B6, C, magnesium, iron, folate, potassium, calcium, proteins and soluble fiber. It is also loaded with disease fighting antioxidants. It can improve and regulate blood pressure, improve athletic performance by boosting stamina, and help with muscle blood flow and recovery. This is an ALL NATURAL supplement. I literally have this every day. Now, I am not going to lie, it tastes like grass. ? So I mix a tablespoon with a little orange juice, water, or mix in my shakes. I always feel great and energized after having this.
I never was one who took vitamins or understood why it was important growing up. However, when I began running more routinely a couple years ago, I realized that was a key factor in my day-to-day intake. So here is my daily go to list when it comes to vitamins:
Sodium Ascorbate (Vitamin C)
Thieves Essential Oil
My main focus on using Thieves is to help strengthen my immune system. I use this in my baths, put along my spine with coconut oil, or even on the bottoms of my feet. You will find me using this whenever I am worn down or feel like I am coming down with something. It is a great wellness tool for me.
I am a runner, so after a long run, my muscles appreciate a relaxing detox bath. I love to mix all these wonderful goodies in my bath. Epsom Salt (you can select your favorite), Baking Soda, Panaway and Stress Away Essential Oils from Young Living. I usually put 2 drops of each oil in my bath. This helps me relax and helps my muscles to recover.
This is just a peak inside my wellness box. I will continue to share more with you all, but I thought this would be a nice start. What do you and your family like to use, for your Wellness Box?
